We currently have three outstanding career opportunities for a Specialty Loss Group Assistant to join our team in our West regions. The Specialty Loss Group Assistant provides a broad range of administrative, technical, and clerical support to designated members of the Specialty Loss Group in handling complex claims. The incumbent will also assist the supervising manager or adjuster(s) in providing correct and timely client services and in assuring the insurer fulfills its obligation to policyholders.
Proficiency in a variety of office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, and potentially others); ability to quickly master industry software such as Xactimate and Riskmaster, DT & E, and CRM; skilled in use of internet for basic research purposes; ability to understand claims adjudication process; basic knowledge of, or active interest in, commercial and residential construction industries and/or basic knowledge of, or active interest in, automotive and transportation industry helpful; skills in analyzing and reporting pertinent information; sound written and oral communication skills; time management and organization skills; college level mathematical and accounting skills desired; trustworthiness in handling highly confidential and sensitive information; integrity and personal accountability and adherence to standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct; keen service orientation and customer service skills; problem-solving; sound judgment and objectivity; attention to detail; care, compassion, and respect for co-workers and clients; commitment to professional and personal growth and development; commitment to continuous improvement ; team-oriented work style; ability to interpret policies and other written technical information; gross- and fine-motor skills; commitment to confidentiality and ability to discretely handle sensitive information.
