Engle Martin & Associates is seeking a dynamic Lead Accountant of transformation and consolidation who will be responsible for supporting the EMA segment and Corporate Accounting Department. We are seeking a skilled and motivated accountant who is tech savvy (having the ability to implement new tools, build analytic models and reports), lead continuous improvement projects in a high growth environment, be sound in their technical accounting knowledge and enjoy interacting with others. The role will have some day-to-day accounting duties such as preparing a variety of journal entries, reconcile and analyze balance sheet and operating statement accounts, assist with the consolidation of segment operations and provide reports to stakeholders.      

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of new technology (consolidation tool and accounting software)
  • Lead continuing efforts to accelerate the close process, automation projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for various aspects of the month-end close process. Including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting.
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of consolidated month-end financial statements and reports to stakeholders
  • Assist in the preparation and review of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the preparation of materials as required by external auditors.
  • Assist with special projects.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of Accounting experience
  • CPA license, required
  • LEAN / Six Sigma, a plus

 Qualification & Skills:

  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to effectively / independently manage multiple requests with attention to detail
  • Technology savvy (not afraid to implement new technology). Advanced skills with Excel, required.
  • A mix of experience between Big Four public accounting and private corporate accounting functions.
  • Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics/GP, Consolidation tool)
  • Exposure to International Accounting
