We currently have an outstanding career opportunity for a Senior Accountant.  The Senior Accountant performs day-to-day reconciliations of Client Accounts, provides Customer Service to internal and external clients. The Senior Accountant will ensure the accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial position to the Clients.  The incumbent will prepare worksheets ready for reconciliation and related month end financial reports. Using established guidelines and policies and identifying process enhancements, this role will ensure cash transactions are properly recorded and activity is properly presented and explained.


  • Identifies a range of outstanding reconciliation items (unmatched items, paid not issued, paid amount difference, encoding errors) for Loss Fund Accounts.
  • Maintains check registers for issued, outstanding, and paid checks.
  • Assures that proper documentation is obtained to release funds. Moves funds to the appropriate accounts to reflect transaction.
  • Takes direction and assists with the analysis of month-end Bordereaux and client loss-run reports; reconciles loss funds, completes fund statuses and analyses, and requests funds as appropriate.
  • Prepares worksheets supporting requests for funds to pay EMA|EMCAS invoices.
  • Reviews auto generated reports for accuracy to ensure accurate processing.
  • Prepares reports for various financial transactions then completes analyses at the direction of the Account Manager using various financial and non-financial data (e.g., claim/transaction type, policy details, reserve status, assignments, etc. to support internal reviews and special requests from the Client.)
  • Stays abreast of industry information, development, and trends; maintains an understanding of changes in the business; participates in ongoing training and personal development to assure knowledge and skills remain current and comprehensive.
  • Functions as an effective member of the team, assisting co-workers as needed and learning from colleagues and supervisors; supports the goals of the region, division, and organization; participates in special assignments and activities as required or approved; demonstrates initiative in the interest of Engle Martin and its customers.


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or statistics.
  • Accounting, bookkeeping or spreadsheet experience. 
  • Demonstrates thorough skill set or ability to quickly master a variety of office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (including, but not necessarily limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, SharePoint, and Access).
  • Experience in building templates and using imported/exported mapped data. 
  • Skilled in use of internet for business research purposes; excellent transcription and keyboarding skills (including speed and accuracy).
  • Sound written and oral business communication skills, including formatting and preparation of memoranda, letters, and reports.
